Kōno Dripper
Latest version from 2015 (MDK-21)
The oldest new trend
Kōno is one of the oldest brands in Japan (1925)! They developed their Kōno Dripper back in 1973 and this latest version from 2015 (MDK-21) brings a characteristic sweetness and more intensity to your filter coffee.
The biggest difference with that other well-known Japanese dripper: the ridges only run over the lower part of the wall. As a result, there is almost no bypass above the coffee bed, and you can create more pronounced flavor profiles with the Kōno Dripper while still having more transparency than with a flat-bottom dripper.
Characteristics:
- Cone shape Ribbing at the bottom only
- Compatible with V-shaped coffee filters such as the Abaca or Abaca+ filters
- Contents: 1-2 cups BPA-free
Tips & tricks:
- Fold your filter paper so that you create an angle that is slightly narrower than 60°.
- Then hold the dripper under a jet of water so that the filter paper sticks nicely to the wall above the ridges.
- Remove the filter paper immediately after brewing and rinse the dripper with water. We do not recommend putting it in the dishwasher.
- This 3rd generation transparent dripper can be used up to 109℃.
