The Pietro Manual grinder uses vertically mounted 58mm flat burrs, made of M340 steel with a Dark-T® coating. This guarantees long life, less friction and less heat development while grinding.
Also thanks to the sealed environment, freshness is guaranteed while the clever burr-mount design only requires the push of a button to disassemble the grinder for easy cleaning.
The Pietro can hold 60g of beans, and the magnetic grounds bin is easy to remove and sealed for maximum flavor preservation.
The grind size adjustment ring on the side is stepless and offers a wide variety of grind sizes without re-calibration after cleaning.
Two blind (screwless) burr options are available.
The B-modal burrs are multi-purpose burrs and offer grind settings finer than espresso up to pour-over and beyond. They have a bi-modal patricle size distribution that provide great mouthfeel and body and are a really good choice for many brew methods and coffee styles.
The M-modal burrs are designed by Lance Hedrick, and greatly enhance clarity and clean flavors without losing too much body. Also called the Pro-brew burrs, these Unimodal burrs are a fantastic choice for filter-brewing but less suitable for espresso. You'll be amazed with the details you'll discover in the cup!
